What makes "Delle Perle di Akoya" so special?
A decade-long passion
My name is Erika Arizzi and I am the owner of the ENCI kennel "Delle Perle di Akoya". I am also an ENCI handler, ring steward, junior handler evaluator, and have completed a course in long-haired grooming and maintenance.
My passion began at the age of ten, when I bought a book on all the existing dog breeds and was struck by the image of that furry black and white creature. From that moment, I decided I would buy a Shih Tzu, and so I did. In 2002, my first dog, Treble Touch Hannibal, arrived, a sweet and beautiful golden-white male who would forever remain in my heart. After his loss, I couldn't immediately reconnect with this breed, so I bought a Great Dane, but at every ENCI show, I couldn't help but enter the Shih Tzu ring. My love for this breed transcended the pain, and in 2018, I bought a new Shih Tzu, then another, and another. Over time, I achieved significant results in Italian, foreign, and international beauty championships.
A meeting, a soul, and from there... the eternity of a love.

The dearest memory
If I had to think of my dearest memory, it would definitely be my first litter, when, thanks to the invaluable help of my dear breeder friend Rita Ingrao via video call, I managed the delicate moment of birth. It's a commitment that knows no end, but welcoming the life of those tiny, defenseless little creatures alongside their mother is a thrill that has been renewed with each new birth since that day. If you asked me what Shih Tzus mean to me, I wouldn't hesitate: they are my lifeblood, the very essence of my life, my world.
"Delle Perle di Akoya" the choice of name comes from my passion for pearls and Japan, since I consider my Shih Tzus to be little precious pearls"
